  2. Today’s Objectives What do I need to purchase for this class? How to help you or child succeed in Pre-Calculus/AP Calculus? When is Mrs. Misanin available for extra help? Why do I require contracts for both student and parent to sign?

  3. What materials do I need to purchase for this class? • 1 3-Ring Binder (2 inch minimum) • 5 Dividers • Loose Leaf Paper (NO SPIRALS) • 1 book cover (large) • Blue, Purple or Black ink pens (NO Red) • #2 pencils and erasers (lots of them!) • Calculator (TI-94 if you are buying one) • 3x5 notecards

  4. Optional Materials • Highlighter • Sticky tabs for notes • Colored pencils (to use for graphing clarity) • 1 pack of small post it notes • 1 box of tissue (to share!!) This is so helpful during cold/flu season!!

  5. How can I keep up with my child’s grades? • Check your child’s Clarity account for grades and my VISION accountregularly for assignments. • Record the dates interims and report cards are due on your calendar. • If you have any questions, contact Mrs. Misanin.

  6. How can I keep up with my child’s assignments? • Insist that your child write all assignments in his/her agenda and check your child’s agenda regularly. • Check your child’s binder regularly. Neatness is a must to survive. • If you have any questions, contact Mrs. Misanin. • Check the website for current syllabus (updated regularly) • Check the parent portal in Clarity when it opens

  7. When are you available for extra help? • During Titan Time (3rd block) • Before (7:30-8:45) and after school (4-5:30) • 4th/8th Blocks by appointment • Also available will be NHS and (Math Honor Society) students individually assigned if asked

  10. HomeworkDue Date: First Day of School!  • Purchase required materials and come with paper and pencil. • Get a good night’s rest. • Come to school with a positive attitude and ready to learn! • AP Classes bring your summer assignments with you to class. We will begin on the first day!
