  2. Email and Alarm Setup • Set Global parameters • Set SMTP Mail Server connection parameters • Set Alarm Input Behavior • Set Alarm to send email on Alarm event • Test and Troubleshoot SMTP issues

  3. Global Settings • Setup a Device Name • Setup a Device Location • These will be included in the email and help identify the source of the Alarm • Save

  4. IP Ethernet Setup • Setup the email SMTP server connection • To Address – Destination of email • Mail server – IP Address or URL of the mail server to connect • NetIO needs to connect to an SMTP mail server with credentials • Login Name and Password • Number of retries and Duration before stopping • Save

  5. Alarm Setup • Setup the Alarm Name - This will be included in the email and help identify the source of the Alarm • Alarm Input Behavior • Normally Open or Closed • Normal or Supervised (1K series R) • Alarm time filter (typically "Static") • Alarm "Email" Checkbox • Save

  6. Test the Alarm • Use the ON and OFF buttons to test the Alarm Email function • Monitor the bottom of IP Ethernet Setup page to see the SMTP Messages for troubleshooting email connection problems
