  2. Problem • Lack of women’s perspective in animation • Lack of female representation in industry • Need for more female animators • Need to recruit more females into ITCD for animation

  3. Solution • Bring in more female animators • Appeal to their interests regarding this field • Encourage to become animators

  4. Deliverables • Short film to recruit more animators • A fast paced film dedicated to what women find interesting (i.e. animation styles, characters, representation, etc) • Available via disk and on the web

  5. Resources • Approximately 3-5 personal interviews with young female animators • Survey information regarding young female interests • Statistics about women in the industry

  6. Technology • The main focus is animation • AutoDesk Maya will be the tool used • Edgy, fun and intriguing is the goal • Maya incorporates the realistic interest with imagined possibilities

  7. Conclusion • Encouragement for young animators to pursue their interests. • Let young females realize that their ideas and perceptions matter • Enable them to use their creative talent to express the female perspective
