  3. William Shakespeare • At 18, he married Anne Hathaway, who was 8 years older than him. • They had 3 children together • Susanna • Hamnet and Judith (twins)

  4. William Shakespeare • In 1585 he became part owner of a play company called Lord Chamberlain’s Men. • The name was later changed to King’s Men after King James I gave the company a royal patent.

  5. William Shakespeare • 1585-1592 know as the ”lost years”. • Researchers have found no information on what Shakespeare did during this time.

  6. William Shakespeare • The Globe was built in 1599. • This is where most of Shakespeare’s plays were performed. • This was a round theatre. • The pit was where the poorer people stood. • People were allowed to eat and drink during performances.
