  1. The Monsoon Restaurant The Monsoon, a renowned restaurant located in the heart of vibrant Brick Lane in London, is the brainchild of Shams Uddin. It all began in 1999 when Shams, who had previously managed Clifton, an Indian restaurant along Brick Lane in the mid-90s, became involved in an exciting project called "The Seed The Root" by motiroti, an international arts company. Motiroti aimed to make the invisible visible through installations and guided walks, and Shams agreed to be a part of this unique endeavor. As part of the project, Clifton served as a mid-point where audiences could take a break, engage in conversations, and sample delectable foods. Shams, with his passion for storytelling and his talent for cooking, served the audience home-cooked, o?-the-menu Bangladeshi dishes while regaling them with captivating stories. Inspired by the positive feedback from the audience, Shams ventured further and soon became the manager of Café Bangla and Curry Bazaar. These restaurants were pioneers in o?ering authentic Bangladeshi cuisine at a time when most establishments traded as Indian restaurants. The food at The Monsoon, prepared by Shams and his team, embodies the traditional Bangladeshi cooking style that is passed down from generation to generation, resulting in a taste like no other. At The Monsoon, the culinary art form of traditional Bangladeshi cooking comes alive through an incredible blend of fragrant and exquisite spices. The dedicated team of chefs at the restaurant uses only the best and freshest ingredients to create a wide range of stimulating dishes for patrons to enjoy, whether in the restaurant or in the comfort of their own homes. Since its establishment in 2001, The Monsoon has consistently delighted food lovers across London with its delicious cuisine and unparalleled service. The restaurant's commitment to providing a motivating and inspiring dining experience has earned it a loyal clientele that keeps coming back for more. The Monsoon stands as a testament to the passion, creativity, and culinary excellence of Shams Uddin and his team. Through their dedication to authentic Bangladeshi cuisine and their ability to make dining a truly memorable experience, The Monsoon has become a beloved destination for food enthusiasts seeking the finest flavors of Bangladesh.
