  5. ¿CÓMO SE TRANSMITE EL VIH? • POR RELACIONES SEXUALES: Cuando hay contacto del pene con la vagina, del pene con el ano o de la boca con los genitales, sin ninguna protección. • El VIH se transmite a través del semen y los fluidos vaginales

  6. POR LA SANGRE, cuando: • Se hacen transfusiones de sangre infectada. • Se comparten agujas para inyectar drogas, tatuajes o perforaciones de la piel.

  7. DE LA MADRE AL HIJO/A: • Durante el embarazo, • al momento de nacer, por contacto del feto o bebé con la sangre de la madre infectada, • y a través de la leche materna.

  8. ¿CÓMO PROTEGERSE? • Ejercitar abstinencia sexual hasta el matrimonio • Fidelidad mutua en la pareja • Utilizar correctamente el preservativo en todas las relaciones sexuales • Recibir tratamiento para las ITS • Evitar contacto con sangre que pueda estar infectada a través de jeringas y agujas usadas
