  1. Learning objectives To gain a better understanding of QOF, QMAS and QPID, their origins and purpose. To gain an understanding of the information which can be generated from QMAS/QPID and how it might supplement or supercede other sources such as local primary care information systems and GP research databases. To explore the secondary user mechanisms, i.e. what is/will be available to whom and how it can be accessed. To gain an appreciation of relevant data quality issues. To identify the opportunities which QMAS/QPID presents for public health-related work. To identify information needs which might be met by future development of QMAS/QPID.
