Advisors review requirements and set a 5 star goal • Set goal for membership recruitment and devise strategies • Gain greater awareness on campus: • Post recruitment brochures and posters • Distribute flyers to faculty • Post collegeifsh.org and competitive edge info • Participate in “Phi Theta Kappa Founders Day” One Star Level

  3. Beginning of each term chapter advisors open an enrollment with PAM. • Send membership invitations, from a college administrator, to perspective members • Promote membership acceptance by: • Call eligible students • Email reminders linked to Membership Recruitment Brochure • Allow online membership acceptance • Hold one or more informational meetings One Star Continued

  4. Conduct informational meetings for perspective members prior to induction • Hold at least one induction ceremony and report members names to head quarters • Submit the Chapter Annual Report to Headquarters • Review, Approve, and send in Chapter bylaws. One Star Continued

  5. All of the requirements for Level 1 plus: • Conduct at least 2 membership recruitment campaigns • Report new officers for the current year with officer reporting tool in PAM • Verify chapter directory information is correct: • College President • Chapter Administrator • Chapter Advisor Two Star Level

  6. Provide structured Orientation for new officers, advisors and committee chair at the beginning of each academic term • Chapter and/or officers meet at least twice a month • Chapter advisors and President have a copy of the Honors Program Guide • At least 2 chapter members research one theme/ study question of the Honors Program Guide Level Two Continued

  7. Chapter advisors and officers meet with college president to develop and discuss goals of the chapter Level Two Continued

  8. Must meet all of the requirements of 1 & 2 star level and complete the following: • Plan an Honors In Action project based on the chapter’s research that includes leadership and service components • Map out specific leadership roles and actions the project requires. • Work with an organization to implement the Honors in Action Project Three Star Level

  9. Publish chapter news in at least one of the following ways • Publish a news letter • Submit chapter news to a publication • Maintain a chapter website or Facebook Page Level Three Continued

  10. Implement a College Project which is determined by the chapter and college president or other administrator • Mentor incoming students • Help with graduation • Serve as college ambassadors • Promote C4 • Other Level Three Continued

  11. Chronicle chapter activities for historical purposes: • Keep honors in action journal • Save meeting minutes • Save newsletters • Save copies of Hallmark Awards entries Level Three Continued

  12. Everything in 1, 2, 3 star levels and: • Chapter representatives attend at least one official regional meeting.* • Chapter is involved at a regional level in at least one of the following ways • Campaign for regional office • Host/Assume leadership role at a regional meeting • Participate in a Regional Honors in Action Project • Collaborate with at least 2 other chapters for an activity Four Star Level

  13. Share the chapter’s Honors in Action research with the campus or community • Enter at least one category in the regional awards program • *Far Away Alternatives • Participate in a conference call, online chat, or teleconference with a member of the regional team • Host a mini conference for members about Honors Study Topic Level Four Continued

  14. Submit at least 3 entries for Hallmark Awards • Honors In Action • College Project • Individual Award • Chapter representative participates in AT LEAST ONE of the following: Five Star Level

  15. Annual Convention • April 22-24 2014 in Orlando Florida • Honors Institute • Next June held at University of California Berkley • Or All chapter officers participate in • College fish- 1 college in fishbowl • Competitive Edge- reach 1 star level • Watch videos and submits entry into Honors case study challenge. Level Five Continued
