According to an epidemiological survey, the incidence of respiratory ailments is 16% of the incidence of all diseases.   3. Budesonide, an adrenocortical hormone, was developed by Astrazeneca in the 1990s. It is mainly used for the treatment of non-glucocorticoid dependent or glucocorticoid-dependent bronchial asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). In Jun. 1997, budesonide aerosol got FDA’s approval. In recent years, with the steady growth of global demand, budesonide has occupied an important position in the TOP10 respiratory drugs. In 1994, China approved the import of budesonide for clinical purposes. After being marketed by Astra (Wuxi) in China in 1995, budesonide develops fast with annual sales rising from CNY 60 million in 2005 to CNY 595 million in 2014 and CAGR reaching up to 29% during the period of 2005-2014.
