Most short courses/training only produces “certificate of attendance”. • Majority of librarians does not have the opportunity to enter formal training. • Rapid change in information requires continous upgrade of library information handling especially in ICT skills. • To produce a generation of librarians who are multi-tasking and possess dynamic ICT skills & knowledge. NPAC member National Programme Advisory Committee for National Diploma in Information & Library Management programme Members consists of Teaching Staff, Officers from DTE and practitioners from the Industry. Important role in the development and evaluation of the curriculum and also in the Human Resource Development of Brunei Darussalam. ND in Information & Library Management (ILM) The first intake started in July 2000 The accreditation body for this programme is the “Brunei Darussalam Technical & Vocational Education Council” (BDTVEC) under the MOE. The curriculum was designed using the DACUM (Design a Curriculum) method. Selected practitioners from the industry were appointed to provide their inputs.
