  8. Forced Labor Camp • Designed to Kill Prisoners by Forced Labor

  9. Identification • Each of the Buchenwald prisoners had a number. It was not uncommon for numbers to be mixed up and one punished for another’s offense.

  10. Roll Call • In 1943, dogs trained to kill men in these striped suits were brought into the camp and released outside its borders.

  11. Roll Call • Four roll calls took place each day. • If a prisoner was missing, the rest would stand until he was found.
