  2. Osnovne karakteristike: • Višegodišnje zeljaste biljke • Jetrenjače i listaste mahovine • Nerazvijen koren • Za podlogu pričvršćene rizoidima

  3. Razviće • Gametofit obavlja sve vegetativne funkcije, dok je funkcija sporofita isključivo stvaranje spora.

  4. protoneme se razvijaju iz spora mahovine • Autotrofne su • Na njima nastaju pupoljci

  5. Na vrhu grana obrazuju se muški (anteridije) i ženski (arhegonije) polni organi

  6. Deobom zigota nastaje embrion • Sa njim počinje faza sporofita

  7. Sastoji se od sporangije (čaure) koja se nalazi na dršci • Drška povezuje sporofit sa tkivom gametofitom

  8. U čauri se nalazi arhesporijalno tkivo • Posle pucanja čaure spore se rasejavaju i ciklus se ponavlja

  9. Mahovine su se pojavile pre 400 miliona godina. Ima oko 25.000 vrsta koje su svrstane u 3 klase: • Anthocerotopsida • Marchantiopsida • Bryopsida
