The submission system • Check it out before hand… • What do you need to upload? • What information do you need? • Do your co-authors also need to be registered in the system? • Upload an “almost done!” version at least 30 minutes before • Better than missing the deadline due to circumstances beyond your control!

Notification • Of rejection • Quick skim and then walk away from your computer • After you have processed it, go back to the review • Anonymous Facebook friend of a friend: “I generally read them, then go make coffee/take a walk/etc and reread. Often the first read sounds like " you suck" while the second read sounds like "I have some questions and concerns.” • Improve your paper • Find a new venue!
