  1. COE Labs Objectives and Benefits

  2. General Objectives • Students’ training using state-of-the-art facilities through course labs • Enable world-class research • Community service and knowledge transfer through consulting, applied research, and conducting short courses

  3. Digital Logic Design Lab • Objectives: Aid in teaching basics of digital logic design • Hands on experience in digital logic design, simulations and implementation using Xillinx FPGAs and software

  4. FPGA & High Level Synthesis Lab • Objectives: • Teaching Senior level elective courses in digital design, • Conducting research using FPGAs and CAD tools, • Provide adequate work space for graduate students in the areas of VLSI/Design automation, Digital Design and synthesis, testing, reconfigurable computing and similar disciplines

  5. Microprocessor Lab • Objectives: • Expose students to various aspects of microprocessor engineering including signal analysis, design and fabrication of a medium-sized microprocessor system, conducting I/O interfacing experiments, hardware troubleshooting

  6. Networking Lab • Objectives: • To give undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity of having hands-on experience with state-of-the art network products (hardware as well as software), • Combined with Opnet simulator, give the students a total network design/management experience

  7. Digital System Design Lab • Objectives: • To introduce students to digital system design concepts with particular emphasis on Microcontroller-based systems and real time software development.

  8. Senior Project Lab • Objectives: • To support students project development and prototyping

  9. Robotics Lab • Objectives: • To support research and teaching (both undergrad and graduate) in Robotics

  10. Printed Circuit Board Lab • Objectives: • To support digital system design courses and senior projects. The lab houses all equipment and chemicals necessary to make a professional printed circuit board starting from scratch.

  11. Performance Engineering Lab • Objectives: • To Support research and teaching in the areas of Performance evaluation of parallel, distributed, and network infrastructure applications and architectures
