“Our students who have had a PISD early

childhood experience come with a solid foundation upon which we are able to continue their learning. This opportunity helps to level the playing field for our English Language Learners and those students who for economic reasons have not had the variety of exposures that many of our students experience.”

Aaron Moeller, Principal, Weatherford Elementary

“The prekindergarten schooled children are READY TO LEARN when they enter Forman compared to their non-schooled peers. These students have learned basic literacy and numeracy so we are not starting out in such a deficit position. They also have prior learning in basic routines and understand school-wide expectations. Our teachers can always spot a prekindergarten schooled student and use their prior experience as a model to unschooled children.”

Ann Irvine, Principal, Forman Elementary
