CompStat NG™ Initiative Update • CompStat NG™ (next generation) • What is it? • Provides crime and counter-terrorism information in an enterprise architecture (entry and retrieval of information is web based) • Employs advanced visual and data analytics for crime analysis and counter-terrorism for use in force deployment • Enables real-time situational awareness on any networked device (Assessment Wall, PC, smart phone) • What kind of change can it enable? • Dramatic improvements in fighting crime and counter-terrorism • “This is the wave of the future” • Professor Les Kennedy, Rutgers School of Criminal Justice
