  4. PLACE Describes the features that make a site UNIQUE Refers to an areas landscape, land, climate, plants and animals

  5. REGIONS • Areas that share COMMON characteristics

  6. MOVEMENT Looks at how and why people and things move • Human Movement • Trucks, Trains, Planes • Information Movement • Phones, computer (email), mail • Idea Movement • How do fads move from place to place? TV, Radio, Magazines

  7. HUMAN-ENVIRONMENT INTERACTION • Includes its land, water, climate, plants and animals • People affect environment: • Dam rivers to prevent flooding • Environment affects people: • In cold weather we wear coats
