  5. How many cubic inches can the figure hold? What is the volume? Cylinder Radius 4 in Height 5 in Cubic inches To calculate the amount of cubic feet, I need to find the volume. The figure is a rectangular prism. To calculate the volume of a rectangular prism, I found the area of the base. The base is a circle, so I multiplied pi by the radius squared. I multiplied the area of the base by the height of the cylinder. The volume is 251.2 cubic inches.
