  2. HISTORYin 2001 first gender studies was established at Warsaw University from 2004 - gender equality as a horizontal principle in EU programme in Poland (Equall Initiative) – network of gender trainers, first programme of trainings

  3. NOWNo obligation for gender trainings for civil servants but...from 2010 – every project proposal has to meet gender equality criteria defined in 6 issues (checked during assessment proceeding)6 gender studies at different universitiesdiversity management for private entitles

  4. MAIN TOPICS: - gender role/ gender stereotypes- gender based discrimination- legal base for gender equality (national, EU, UN [CEDAW])- gender analysis- gender perspective in project's cycle: analysis and diagnosis of problem, defining goals, tasks, results, monitoring and evaluation

  5. CHALLENGES:emphasis on labour market – how to encourage women to work more effective [according to Lisbon Strategy goals] - work – life balance, gender pay gap, glass definition, segregation of labour market etc.lack of gender perspective in other areas such violence against women, poverty, formal education (first reports and alternative programmes for teachers, in local government's programmes and strategies
