  2. Understanding The Difference Between All Weather Tires And All Season Tires  Whether or not to buy all weather tires is a question you may be asking yourself. Many people tend to confuse the all weather tires with all season tires. Even though their names sound similar, they do not do the same thing. When you go to a tire shop and ask for all-weather tires and whoever is selling convinces you to take all season tires, you would not get value for your money. It is important to be very clear and specific about the tire that you are looking for to avoid disappointments later on.

  3. Understanding The Difference Between All Weather Tires And All Season Tires  So how are the all weather tires and all season tires different from each other? The name all season tires does not really describe how these tires perform. They are only recommended for three seasons, namely summer, spring and fall. They function very well with a set of designated winter tires since sheer ice and deep snow are not so friendly to them. They can be helpful in getting you out of a freak snow storm. However, when you use the all-season tires in winter they can make that season very treacherous and long. They can only work well in temperatures that are above 7 degrees Celsius.

  4. Understanding The Difference Between All Weather Tires And All Season Tires  When the temperatures drop below 7 degrees Celsius, the rubber compound that the all season tires are made of becomes too hard to grip wet and dry pavement. This in turn makes handling and braking less effective. Unlike the all season tires that are only great for three seasons, the all weather tires are true four season tires. They are marked severe service emblem just like winter tyres. When you affix them on your vehicle, you do not need to remove them when the winter becomes too severe.

  5. Understanding The Difference Between All Weather Tires And All Season Tires  The all weather tires can be perfect for you if you are the kind of person who does not like the hassle of summer to winter changeovers year in, year out. You simply need to put them on your vehicle and that is it. They feature a tread pattern that is well designed with high tech compounds to handle sun, rain, snow, slush and ice. They are designed to handle everything that Mother Nature throws at them, including mud. Instead of having a set of winter tires and summer tires, you can just buy one set of all weather tires for use in winter and summer.

  7. Understanding The Difference Between All Weather Tires And All Season Tires  On the market, there are different types of all weather tires for different vehicles. They are designed to fit most cars as well as SUV applications. But you should know that all weather tires may not last as long as winter tires or all season tires. This is probably because they can be used in all the four seasons of the year. you buy them, you should not expect to get the same amount of tread life as winter and all season tires. They also tend to have shorter warranties compared to other tires, so make sure that you keep that in mind when you are buying them.
