    6. “See and write about organizations in new ways” “I think there is a whole rich, vibrant, exciting world of understanding about organizational life that is waiting to be engaged, and one of the keys to this engagement is compassion. Compassion counts as a connection to the human spirit and to the human condition. In organizations there is suffering and pain, as there is joy and fulfillment. There is a need for dignity and self-respect in these settings, and to the extent that our theories, models, and practices ignore these dimensions, so do they distort our understanding of life in these enterprises. Looking at organizations through the compassion lens brings this "disappeared" world into focus. Like that other C word-culture-invoking notions of compassion opens our eyes to see organizations in new ways” (Frost, 2003)
