The unknown arguments for peering Unknown argument 2: Collaboration • An IXP is a big marketplace for more than just IP packets • An IXP is the perfect interconnection point for MPLS and other data projects (multinational….) • VLANs over the IXP make it easy to build a Business Case (instead of expensive NNIs).

The unknown arguments for peering Unknown argument 3: More revenue thru peering • Killer argument for all who are selling IP transit (maybe not for the Tier1´s….) • With the shorter path over peering you will attract more traffic in a multi homed szenario from your customer • Works also for existing customers
