  1. Energy problems in Kaliningrad region Krok ku demokracji Szczecin 2008

  2. The characteristic of a fuel and energy complex Delivery of the electric power to Kaliningrad region is carried out through the one substation 330 KV «Sovetsk» No transparency in available free electric capacity No free electric capacity on backbone substation Problems No direct communications with a power supply system of Russia High level of deterioration of electric networks Losses in some thermal networks are up to 60% Limitation of bulks of imported energy in case of an output from balance of the Ignalina atomic power station High losses in electric networks

  3. Foreign policy factors • Closing in 2009 of the Ignalina atomic power station with reduction of an overflow of the electric power in the Kaliningrad area; • Exit of a power supply system of Lithuania from synchronous work with common energetic system of Russia; • Absence of corresponding agreements and dependence of power safety of region from political relations with the countries having an opportunity of transit of the electric power.
