  2. What is AES? -The Audio Engineering Society (AES) convention is the largest worldwide gathering of audio professionals and enthusiasts, hosted each year in the New York City Area -National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) was also located adjacent to AES

  3. Who I Spoke To: David Shinn (Right) - Hear Now -Alice in Wonderland VR Project -Controlled through sensors in Unity G’AudioLab – Immersive VR Solutions -ProTools 3D Sound Plugin: Works -Spatial audio plugin for digital audio workstations -Binural audio rendering

  4. Who I Spoke To (Cont’d): John Tracy – VP of Sales, SiliconCore Technology -Animation, video effects -Controlling multiple video screens in real time 4 Wall Entertainment – Lighting and Video Equipment Rentals -LED lights (read DMX and will work with my project) -Lighting boards to control different lighting cues InterAmerica Stage, Inc. -Color organs (lighting cues that accompany musical notes) -German software: Madrix

Insights for Thesis: • Will likely rent LED lights/equipment ahead of time to reduce overall cost of project • Video effects: Through projector, using software like Unity or Ableton Live • AD Converter: Lynx Aurora 8 Channel AD/DA • Color organs: Simple way to control lights through audio cues • Look into software/programs for easier, live multicam editing • Better lighting solutions for videos: Flood front of subject, less lighting in back • The signal flow from musician to effect cues: • Performer plays with sensor attached to their instrument(s) • Sensor receives notes and translates them to MIDI • MIDI signal sends commands to lights/videos through DMX
