  30. CSU Affordable Learning $olutions Sept. 19, 2012 Discover, Adopt, Integrate, and Deliver Digital Content Mike Hagerty Director, Digital Education Partnerships

  31. Getting ahead of a growing LMS trend In 2010, 59 percent of classes were using LMS, up from 17 percent in 2000. According to Book Industry Study Group (BISG)'s study of Student Attitudes Toward Content in Higher Education

  32. Investing in the Future of eLearning Students’ definition of “value” is rapidly evolving. In the next three years: • Digital textbook availability will increase by 50 percent • The digital textbook market share will increase by at least 20 percent

  33. Evolution of Delivering Content IN THE BEGINNING – Content distribution was primarily done through the campus bookstore IN THE LAST SEVERAL YEARS – A growing number of students have not acquired the materials needed for their courses due to the cost of education, creating a need for more affordable course materials JUST THIS YEAR – This process is evolving based on changes in consumption and the many devices students can use to access their text. It has aptly been named BYOD – Bring Your Own Device TODAY – Educational programs are experimenting with digital products, having content conveniently delivered through LMS and reducing costs to students TOMORROW – Faculty need more information and better tools to make course content choices for their students

  34. Our Vision: Discover, Adopt, Integrate and Deliver Digital Content Discover Adopt Deliver Integrate Deliverdigital course materials through our new LMS building block (coming soon).
