Overview • ConnectU Reservationless conferencing gives you the ability to hold conferences from anywhere and at any time. • Start a conference at any time with no reservation • Use telephone only or telephone and web for your conferences • Pay only for time used – no setup or cancellation fees • Dial in to your conference with access numbers that never change • Access 24x7 customer support right from your conference • Conference in a simple, reliable, and secure environment • Up to 125 connections per conference

Phone Only Conferencing • To Start A Conference: • Dial the toll-free number provided to you • Enter your Moderator ID/Conference ID and press # • Enter * and your PIN • To Join Others: • Provide participants with the toll-free number and moderator ID/conference ID • Participants will be placed into conference once you join the call

  5. Phone Conferencing – Addt’l. Features • Silent Entry • No tones are heard when participants enter or exit the conference call • Name Capture • Participants are required to record their name upon entering the conference call • Moderators can access a list of participants by pressing *9

  6. Phone Conferencing – Additional Features • Security Prompt (Passcode) • An added security feature that requires your participants to enter a unique code at the time of your conference call. The moderator will be requested to set a 4 to 9 digit code upon initiating each conference call. The participants will then be required to enter the code to join the conference call. • Billing Code • The moderator will be prompted to enter a one to 20 numeric billing code upon entering the PIN number. This option can be bypassed for a meeting by pressing the # sign. The billing code will appear next to the conference on the next invoice.

  7. Web and Phone Conferencing • Use the web portion of ConnectU Reservationless conferencing to: • Show PowerPoint presentations • Webcast to up to 2,000 participants • View who is on the phone and/or the web

  9. Web and Phone Conferencing • To Start: • Go to http://www.startconference.com • Select ‘Moderator’ • Enter your Moderator ID/Conference ID and your PIN, then click ‘Enter’ • At the Main Menu you can: • Upload presentations • Start a conference • View reports • Record conferences

Web and Phone Conferencing Presentation Manager • Presentation Manager allows you to upload, preview and delete presentation • To upload a presentation, click on the ‘Presentation Manager’ tab • Choose ‘Store New Presentation’ • Name your presentation and choose other viewing options • Click ‘Store It’ • Once your presentation has been stored, you can select any of the tabs on the top of the window to view or delete existing presentations • There may be a 5 to 10 second delay between slides • Only PowerPoint presentations can be used

Web and Phone Conferencing To Start A Conference • Go to http://www.startconference.com. • Click 'Moderator'. • Enter your Moderator ID/Conference ID and PIN, with no spaces between numbers, then click 'Login'. • Click 'Conference Now'. Choose to either dial in yourself or have Webconferencing dial you. • If you choose to dial in, click 'No' and 'Start Conferencing'. Follow the directions to begin a conference on the phone.

  12. If you choose for Webconferencing to dial you, verify your phone number. If the phone number in the dial box is incorrect, replace it with your correct phone number and click 'Start Conferencing'. After you've answered the phone, click 'Join Now'. • Your conference is now active. You will hear tones when a participant enters or exits. Click the appropriate tabs for conference controls.

Web and Phone Conferencing To Join Others: • Prior to your conference, send an e-mail to all those you want to participate with the following information: • Day and time of conference • Dial-in instructions with your toll-free number • Your Moderator ID/conference ID • Conference URL: www.startconference.com

Web and Phone Conferencing Participants: • Participants go to http://www.startconference.com • Select ‘Participant’ • Enter name and appropriate Moderator ID/Conference ID, then click 'Login'. • Choose to listen over the phone or the Internet. If they choose to participate over the phone, join the conference by phone using the above instructions. If they choose to listen over the Internet, click 'Play audio stream'. • Wait for the moderator to join and the conference to begin. • To disconnect, simply hang up and click 'Logout'.

Web and Phone Conferencing Conference Now • During the conference you can choose to mute/unmute participants and field questions online • You can also record the conference for playback later by selecting the ‘Webcasting’ button on the bottom of the screenAfter the conference, you can choose ‘Reports’ to view attendee lists • To end your conference, press the ‘Logout’ button

Web and Phone Conferencing Call Status • On the bottom of your screen is a bar called ‘Call Status’ • By clicking on the icons, you can view and control participation on the web • The mouse icon will show who is on the web • The telephone icon will show who is on the telephone. You can mute/unmute and disconnect participants from this window • The ‘?’ shows questions participants have typed in. You have the option of publishing or dismissing the questions

  17. Web and Phone Conferencing Record Conference • Click the little wave icon on the call status panel to record a conference • You will be prompted to name your webcast, given options for recording and showing, and activate the record mode

Web and Phone Conferencing Manage A Conference Over The Web • Play a recorded conference: • Go to www.startconference.com. • Click 'Moderators'. • Click 'Recorded Conferences'. • To play a recorded conference, select it and then click 'Play'. • Give others access to a recorded conference: • Follow steps one through three from above to get to the recorded conferences menu. • Select the appropriate recorded conference from the list. • Click the ticket icon on the right. • Webconferencing will email you a link to the selected conference. • Forward the link to whomever you choose. – Charges apply

Web and Phone Conferencing Manage A Conference Over The Web • Make a conference active or inactive: • Follow steps one through three from above to get to the recorded conferences menu. • To deactivate a conference, select it and then click 'Deactivate'. • To activate a conference, select it and then click 'Activate'. • To remove an inactive conference from your menu permanently, select it and then click 'Delete'.

Web and Phone Conferencing Listen To A Conference Over The Web • Listen to a live conference over the Web: • Go to www.startconference.com. • Click 'Participants'. • Choose to listen over the Web instead of the phone. • Click 'Play audio stream'. • Listen to a recorded conference over the Web: • To listen to a previously-recorded conference, the moderator must send you a conference ticket. Once you've received the ticket, follow the enclosed directions and click the first link.

Reports Reports • Moderator reports allow you to see all conference activity that occurred on your Conference ID number for a specified date range • Data shown: • Conference date • Conference time • Participants names and telephone numbers • Duration of participation • Billing Code • Slides shown

  22. Logout Billing Codes • You can assign billing codes to people or departments within your company to track usage • When a web conference is complete, you can assign a billing code to that conference through the ‘Reports’ section • Select the conference you want to assign the billing code to in the ‘Reports’ section • Click ‘View Conference Summary’ • Click the ‘Change Billing Code’ link • Type the billing code, then select ‘Update’

  23. Logout Logout • To end a web conference, return to the Main Menu, then click the ‘Logout’ button
