  3. Why Apprenticeships? • Grow your own specific skills to beat the skills gap • No Employer NIC’s payments for apprentices under 25 • Support succession planning • Develop and grow your workforce • Employees achieve recognised qualifications • Take charge and bridge the skills gap!

  4. Apprenticeship Employer Incentive - 1st August 2017 • £2,500-3,500 for SME Employers ONLY • To support recruitment of 16-19 into full-time employment – min 30 hours paid per week • Not had an apprentice start in 30 months prior to new apprentice • Apprentice must be based in Wales at least 51% of time • Eligibility checklist to be completed within 2 weeks of Apprentice being employed • Incentive paid via Coleg Cambria to company within 9 months

Apprenticeships for all! • 1st August 2017 fully funded options - Apprenticeships can apply to new or existing staff from age of 16+ • Use as development for existing employees or training for newly recruited apprentices • Staff don’t need to be on an Apprentice contract or wage • Not all programmes include full day release • Essential skills element to support Maths, English and Digital literacy

ESF SEE Project • £16.2m EU funds/Coleg Cambria Lead Provider • Work Based Training programme to accelerate the careers of working people in North Wales – NVQ’s and short courses Company - Eligibility criteria • North Wales registered Sole Traders, Micro, Small, Medium & Large Businesses. Private or Public Sector (priority sectors only) Participant - Eligibility Criteria • Minimum of 16 years, Paid employee of eligible company (copy payslips) • Not receiving any other Government funding for the same training • Does not have to reside in North Wales/Right to live and work in the UK
