  2. Bubble Plot • Objective: • To Create a Bubble Chart • Launching the Platform • Selecting the Roles • Trail, Split & Combine Option • To Save the Bubble Chart as a Flash File (*.swf)

  3. Bubble Plot: Launching the Platform • Open ARsoils.jmp • Click “ ” from the menu bar • Select and click on the “Bubble Plot”.

Bubble Plot: Selecting the Roles • To Select Bulk Density as Y, select “BD” from the left panel of the Bubble chart platform and click Y. • Similarly, select “EC” as X, “MLRA” & “Soils” as ID, “Depth” as time, “pH” as sizes and “Soils” as coloring. • Once you select the roles, Click “OK” to continue

  5. Bubble Plot: Trail, Split & Combine • Let us trace the path of MLRA “134” by using the trail option to know how the EC and BD changes with respect to the Depth.

  6. Bubble Plot: Trail, Split & Combine • Now you could see how the EC and BD changes with respect to the depth

  7. Bubble Plot: Trail, Split & Combine • Now let us see what are the soils associated with the MLRA “134” and trace their path.

  8. Bubble Plot: Trail, Split & Combine • After you click combine, you could see the trail only for the MLRA “134” as a whole.

  9. Bubble Plot: Saving as a *.SWF file • You can save this interactive multidimensional plot as a Flash File! Browse your desired location and save it

  10. Bubble Plot: Saving as a *.SWF file • Once you save the bubble plot as a Flash file, the *.htm file will open up with the Bubble Plot. • You will have most of the interactive features in this Bubble Plot similar to the Bubble Plot in JMP
