  1. MC production requests F. Palla, G. Bagliesi INFN

  2. Level 3/4 studies onggbb A/Htt • High Luminosity with pile-up • In addition to what exists • 1000 ev. signal events with MH=200 and 500 GeV • QCD PT [50,80]  50K • QCD PT [80,120]  30K • QCDPT [120,170]  20K (Tot ev.= 100.K background and 2k signal) • To be produced • CC_bar events PT [120,170]  5000 ev. (see B-tag requests)

  3. B-Tag Algorithms • To be produced after main problems solution in the pixel+silicon material description(Note: put KINE card in Pythia/cmsim conf files!) • Di-jet events (back to back) as in the following table (all eta ranges)

  4. Bd : 4K BdK : 8K BsK : 1K BsKK : 3K BsDs and Dsa1 (1) Ds: 6K and 2K (2) DsK*K: 4K and 1K Second B+X BdJKs : 10K BdJ : 10K J Bs : 1K BdK* : 5K Bs : 2K Bd : 1K Second B: free decay B physics 50% of each channel can be done as a first priority and the rest afterwards Total Number : ~60K

  5. First Benchmark Channel WH(120 GeV)mn bb • 5K events with muon triggered at LVL1/2 • allows studies of the b-tag efficiency over all eta regions and comparisons with dedicated jet studies • Backgrounds • tt mn jjbb 10K • Wjj, Wbb, Wcc (fromFNAL … to be understood)

  6. Second Benchmark Channel All requests w/o pileup bbA/H  bb(mm) MA=150 GeV • 3K signal events • Backgrounds • 1) Z mm 20K events with a minimum cut on mZ > 110 GeV • 2) tt  bb mnmn 10K events with muons (50K from Muon group) • 3) WW mn mn 10K events (existing 50K from Muon group) If the requests have to be divided into two priorities, half of the events should be produced in the first one, except for the signal which eventually could be redone once the current bugs in the material description will be corrected
