  2. Dismiss- verb – forgetting about something or putting it aside She is trying to dismiss his comments because he is always being mean.

  4. motivate- verb – make a person want to take action or do something Teachers want to motivate their students to try their best and be confident in what they know.

  5. conceived- verb – to think of an idea or plan He conceived his project while on vacation.

  6. impact- verb – powerful effect or influence A single bad decision can impact your life in a large way.

  7. determination- verb – strong desire to get something done His determination paid off when he earned a scholarship to go to college.

  8. unreliable- adjective – not reliable or able to depend on The boy’s answers were unreliable because he rarely studied.

  9. festive- adjective – joyous or merry The room looked very festive because her parents put Christmas decorations everywhere.

  10. narrow- adjective – not wide The aisle was so narrow that he thought he was not going to fit through with his backpack on.

  11. pungent- adjective – a strong smell Indian food has many spices that create a pungent smell.
