  3. What is Public Relations? • The act of publicizing and informing the members of a community/organization. • Being able to effectively communicate and build partnerships amongst people. • Creating a positive image for your chapter.

  4. Roles of Chapter PR Chair • Specific duties as outlined in Chapter Constitution and Bylaws • Generate positive publicity for your chapter • Submitting Press Releases • Local Newspaper • School Newspaper

  6. Submissions • Monthly Reports- No later than the 10th day of the month (ie. Aug. 10, Sept. 15) • Press Releases- Must be submitted to me 1 month prior to submission. MUST be sent back upon approval prior to final submission. • Archive all chapter events and submit to Chapter Secretary at end of term

  7. E-BUSINESS • Create yahoo group and maintain contact • Upload documents for chapter PR/Pub. • Post Chapter news and development • Response to emails within 48 hours
