  3. You are a group of educators interested in providing children with meaningful learning activities during the summer.

  4. Because of the renewed interest in Greek mythology – thanks to books and films like the Percy Jackson series – you decide to create a three-day, two-night summer camp inspired by one of the Twelve Olympians.

  5. As you do not have sufficient funds to finance the camp yourselves, you invite potential partners and investors – and their children – to a project presentation.

  6. Your 25-minute presentationincludes the following: • Camp name and logo • Camp site or location • Camp layout or map • Camp facilities with description

  7. Schedule, description, and objectives of camp activities • Two activities inspired by the characteristics of the Olympian • Two activities inspired by myths involving the Olympian • Oneother activity

  8. Design of campers’ attire • Design of camp coordinators’ attire • Design of an online resource about the camp • Other important details or add-ons

  9. Brainstorming session

  10. As a class, put together what you know about your assigned Olympian and begin thinking about the kind of summer camp you wish to design.

  11. Things to Think About Which among the Olympian’s characteristics do you wish to highlight? Which myths concerning him or her are the most interesting?

  12. Things to Think About Which age group will you design the summer camp for? What activities will be meaningful for this group?

  13. Output Write a summary of what the class was able to discuss on a one-half crosswise sheet of paper.
