  2. DebateTuesday 9.9.14 • Criteria for Judging Informative Speaking • Watch Speech example video and Judge it • Draw topic. • 4-5 minutes: With a partner, select your topic • 10 minutes: Begin outlining • 10 minutes: Research for facts, evidence, quotations, etc. • Tomorrow—finalize our speech

  3. DebateWednesday 9.3.14 • You have the rest of the day to prepare and rehearse your speech. • Debate 2 kids start the speeches tomorrow! • Today you will get a participation grade. What % of the time are you on task and behaving appropriately? Check yourself.

  4. Thursday 9/11Debate • Mini Debate • Schools, organizations, and businesses should implement a morality clause that punishes members for violations that happen outside the organization • Work on Informative Speeches (goal: 3-4 minutes long)

  5. Friday 9.12.14Debate • Today you need to finish your speech • Follow the Step by Step Outline • Please rehearse them several times • Speeches start on Monday; • Debate 2 students go first; • you WILL NOT be working on it or anything else while others are speaking
