  24. Carving Competition Exhibitors were given a friendship cane block, and were asked to carve anything they wished. The blocks were collected and Judged by our Featured Carver, Bob Stadtlander. The winner received a $25 gift certificate at Hillcrest Carving.

  27. John herrington award Each year LCW awards the John Herrington “Carver of the Year” award to one of it’s members. The award is given on: Active Membership, Recognition as a Carver, Improvement of Skills, and One Who Promotes Carving.

  29. Charity raffle fors.o.a.r. Each year the club has a raffle for the charity: Support Our American Recruits This year the raffle prize was a hand carved Civil Way Chess Set and Table. Gen. & Mrs. Grant and Gen. & Mrs. Lee Were carved by Dennis Thornton, CCA. All other pieces carved by club members.
