  2. What are the facts Obesity is on the rise. This is becoming a crisis in our healthcare. According to the CDC the cost of obesity cost our nation healthcare 78.6 billion dollars. It is costing Americans 12.8 billion dollars for out of pocket expense for diseases related to obesity It is costing Health plans 28.1 billion dollars for expenses related to obesity

  3. Proposal Provide a 6 million tax credit to health plans that provide preventative programs to encourage their members to reduce their Body Mass Index to less then 24 Health benefit plan will give their members reduced deductible as incentive to all that keep their Body Mass Index less then 24.

  4. Who will this effect This plan is an incentive for the working class to fight the battle of the bulge and maintain a healthy weight. This plan will reduce the health care cost and co morbidities related to obesity

  5. Cost Initially this will cost our nation money but future savings to the health crisis is immeasurable.
