  2. Multi Campus JOC • What is it? • 2 or more campuses using the same JOC contractor under the same terms and conditions of the Job Order Contract

  3. Multi Campus JOC • How does this happen? • Include service for another campus in JOC bid • Amend current campus JOC agreement to include service for another campus

  4. Multi Campus JOC • Advantages • Consolidate resources and requirements • Reduce cost • Motivated contractor • Allows smaller or low volume campuses to use JOC

  5. Multi Campus JOC • Need • Management support • Neighboring campuses and participants interested and willing to work together • Buy in from Facilities/Physical Plant/Construction • Campus to campus agreement • Separate Gordian agreement for each campus

  6. Multi Campus JOC • Details • Separate Job Order numbering designation for each campus Example: Campus A – 100 series Campus B - 200 series • Will need different pricing books if Prevailing Rates are different for the campuses

  7. Multi Campus JOC • Dollar allocation for each campus • Determine sharing administration costs • JOC paperwork (Job order, notice of completion, DVBE, etc.) to administrating campus • Insurance certificate at each campus. • Copy of JOC agreement to piggy back campus

Multi Campus JOC • Case study • Fullerton and Chancellor’s Office • Agreement since 2009 • CO included in Fullerton’s bid • Chancellor’s Office usage low - $200K allocation • Different counties • Approximately 30 miles between sites • Minimum contract expenditure at $20K, CO met minimum. • No administration charge to CO

  9. Multi Campus JOC • Gordian assistance with set up for different numbering designation, prevailing wages, and training

  10. Multi Campus JOC • Systemwide Emergency JOC • Each contract - $500,000/max; $20,000/min • Designed for emergency projects, but not limited to only emergencies • Northern campuses – SC Anderson Humboldt, Monterey Bay, Sacramento, San Francisco, and San Luis Obispo

  11. Multi Campus JOC • Southern campuses – Vincor Bakersfield, Channel Island, Fullerton, Long Beach, Los Angeles, Northridge, San Diego, San Marcos, and Chancellor’s Office
