  27. Today There have been various candidates through the ages that the Church has declared to be the Anti-Christ.

  28. Today Turns out the Church has had a pretty poor accuracy rate and have discredited themselves among un-Believers.

  29. Today We don’t want to do that! So we, as Messianics, try to make sure any claims we make have at least some kind of Biblical backing.

  30. Today When it comes to prophecy it’s difficult to nail much down because prophecy, as a whole, is often cryptic. I’ll rarely get into an argument on this topic, simply because…

  31. Pan-Theology there’s not enough information to form any kind of airtight eschatology. That being said, it doesn’t mean we should be “Pan-tribulationists”.

  32. Pan-Theology Pan-tribulationism means something like, “Well, we’ll wait and see how it all pans out”. Pan-tribulationists will rarely put much effort into studying prophecy because…

  33. Pan-Theology they figure why study it? They’ll just wait and see what happens. That’s not a good way to look at anything concerning Scripture.

  34. Pan-Theology The Bible is one-third prophetic. That’s a lot! If G-d put that much prophecy in Scripture, we need to study it.

  35. Pan-Theology That doesn’t mean we have to get all hung up on it and stop fellowshipping with any who disagree with our viewpoint concerning it.

  36. This = That Prophecy has a lot of symbolism and I’m not big on symbolism, give me the plain scoop. But if we’re dealing with prophecy there is a lot of allegory and double meanings.

  37. This = That We can’t escape that. But we should study it… it’s important! And nothing in the Bible is to be ignored. I repeat, nothing in the Bible is to be ignored.

  38. “Fear Believer Fear!” People often wonder about various prophecy teachers/speakers/writers who are out there today like Hal Lindsey, John Hagee, Hank Hanegraaff, Grant Jeffrey, Tim LaHaye and others.

  39. “Fear Believer Fear!” And the first thing you want to ask yourselves is this… “What spirit is this particular prophecy teacher coming in?”

  40. “Fear Believer Fear!” Does the prophecy teacher’s teachings strike fear in the heart of the Believer? If so, then we know his message is not from G-d because the spirit of fear doesn’t come from Yehova, it comes from who?

  41. “Fear Believer Fear!” • So right there you can wipe off most prophecy teachers from your list because they love to play on your fears. • G-d didn’t give us prophecy to scare His Children.

  42. “Fear Believer Fear!” • He gave us prophecy so that we would know what was going to happen in the future so that we would have peace.

  43. 2 Topics • So today we’re going to look at: • The religious background of the AC • As well as his mark “666”.

  44. 2 Topics • I hope to dispel a lot of myth that’s going on out there in Christianity concerning the Mark of the Beast because there’s too much nonsense being spread about it.

  45. Spiritual Background • But first let’s look at his spiritual background. • If you believe in the Once Saved Always Saved doctrine, you wont agree with this section of the teaching.

  46. Spiritual Background • The AC will originally be a Believer. • Not only a Believer, but a really good Believer who will have been very close to G-d at one point.

  47. Spiritual Background • He will then backslide and lose his Salvation and become one of the worst men to ever walk this planet.

  48. Spiritual Background • We don’t need to fear this because we are G-d’s children for one… and two, he wont rule this side of the planet anyway.

  49. Spiritual Background • There’s a huge error in Church thinking concerning him ruling “all the earth” but we’ll get to that soon.

  50. Spiritual Background • There’s various clues in Scripture that point out he’s a backslider and we’ll go over those shortly.
