12. Web Design • Multimedia Foundations • Web Design 1 This program offers a broad foundation of knowledge and skills to prepare students for employment in Web design services positions. The content includes Operating System commands and Web document development, design, promotion and scripting. Business Technology

13. Marine Service Technology • Marine Service (Levels 1-7) The purpose of this program is to prepare students for employment as machinery mechanics; marine engines, or outboard motor mechanics. The courses include the following: service, repair and overhaul of four-stroke and two-stroke cycle engines and outboard motors; and service and repair of boating accessories. Course content also includes electrical systems, fuel systems, power transfer systems, ignition systems, cooling systems, lubrication systems, drive systems and boat and trailer rigging. The course content also includes communication, leadership, human relations and employability skills; and safe, efficient work practices. Shop or laboratory activities are an integral part of this program. Industrial Education

Global Logistics • Global Logistics (Levels 1-3) This program offers a sequence of courses that provides coherent and rigorous content aligned with challenging academic standards and relevant technical knowledge and skills needed to prepare for further education and careers in the Transportation, Distribution and Logistics career cluster; provides technical skill proficiency, and includes competency-based applied learning that contributes to the academic knowledge, higher-order reasoning and problem-solving skills, work attitudes, general employability skills, technical   skills, and occupation-specific skills, and knowledge of all aspects of the Transportation, Distribution and Logistics career cluster. The content includes but is not limited to: the global supply chain, the logistics environment, safety principles, quality control principles, work communication practices, teamwork, workplace behaviorand problem solving, supply chain computer systems, supply chain life cycle, product receiving and stocking, product order processing, product shipment, safe operation and use of equipment, inventory control, safe handling of hazardous materials, customs process/free trade, modes of transportation (air, sea, truck, and rail), dispatch operations, routing and tracking operations, and customer relations. Academy of Hospitality and Tourism • Intro to Hospitality • Hospitality and Tourism Computer Technology • Hospitality and Tourism Marketing and Management The purpose of this program is to prepare students for employment in the travel and tourism industry as reservation and transportation agents, travel destination specialists, tour operators, transportation attendants, cruise ship consultants, or to provide supplemental training for those persons previously or currently employed in these occupations. This program focuses on broad, transferable skills and stresses understanding and demonstration of the following elements of the travel and tourism industry: planning, management, finance, technical and production skills, underlying principles of technology, labor issues, community issues, and health, safety, and environmental issues. Game/Simulation/Animation Programming • Game/ Simulation (Levels 1-3) This program provides coherent and rigorous content aligned with challenging academic standards and relevant technical knowledge and skills needed to prepare for further education and careers such as a Game/Simulation Designer, Game Programmer, and Game Software Developer in the Information Technology career cluster; provides technical skill proficiency, and includes competency-based applied learning that contributes to the academic knowledge, higher-order reasoning and problem-solving skills, work attitudes, general employability skills, technical skills, and occupation specific skills, and knowledge of all aspects of the Information Technology career cluster. The content includes but is not limited to practical experiences in game/simulation conceptualization, design, storyboarding, development methodologies, essential programming techniques, and implementation issues. Culinary Operations • Culinary Operations (Levels 1-7) • Early Childhood Ed. • Early Childhood (Levels 1-4) The purpose of this program is a planned sequence of instruction consisting of one program with seven occupational completion points. The program requires individualized instruction and cross training in food service jobs in a laboratory setting designed for production and service. This delivery system will result in a number of related occupational completion points. The program also allows for advanced training through the five programs and articulation to culinary arts or travel and tourism. The Early Childhood Education Program focuses on broad, transferable skills and stresses understanding and demonstration of the following elements of the Early Childhood industry: planning, management, finance, technical and production skills; underlying principles of technology; labor, community, health, safety, and environmental issues; and developmentally appropriate practices for children birth through age eight. 18. Drafting/Illustrative Design Tech • Drafting (Levels 1-3) • Advanced Techniques (Not required for Gold Seal) This program is comprised of three courses. The entry-level course provides the study of lettering, freehand sketching, orthographic projection, dimensioning, geometric construction, pictorial drawing using drafting instruments and materials. The second course provides for the study of technical illustration and/or architectural drawing, engineering drawing and computer assisted drafting. The final course provides for the advanced individual study related to drafting, utilizing skills from Drafting/Illustrative Design Technology I and Drafting/Illustrative Design Technology II. Communications Technology • Communications Technology (Levels 1-3) • Advanced Techniques (Not required for Gold Seal) • The purpose of this program is to provide students with a foundation of knowledge in the area of communication technology using the Internet and computer related software. Students will design websites and utilize scanners, digital cameras, and computer-generated imagery to conduct research and provide the technical knowledge and skills in advanced printing. The entry-level course provides the study of offset reproduction, photography, screen-printing, electrostatic printing, and finishing operations. The second course provides advanced study of offset production, screen-printing and photography. Activities relate to the total production of printed material, from layout to final copy. The final course provides for the advanced individual study related to Graphic Arts utilizing skills from the first and second course offerings. Technology Education (Cont’d)

20. Exploratory Teaching • Exploratory Teaching (Levels 1-2) This program is designed for students who are interested in becoming teachers. The course includes the study of learning techniques, child-development and classroom management as well as field experiences in the elementary, middle, and high schools. Students will work as teacher aides throughout the school year, tutor small groups of students, design lesson plans and teach a lesson to the class. Career Education
