  • Total Canadian exports of machinery to Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) in 2011 was $1.04B

  • Just four countries - Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Peru - accounted for $678M or 64% of the total

  • import of machinery is growing in 8 of the top 10 LAC markets

  • Export sales in this category have grown about 10% since 2007
