Restructured Accelerated Power Development and Reforms Programme (R-APDRP) • Introduction: • The Govt. of India has proposed to continue R-APDRP during the XI Plan with revised terms and conditions as a Central Sector Scheme. • The focus of the programme shall be on: • Actual, demonstrable performance in terms of sustained loss reduction. • Establishment of reliable and automated systems for sustained collection of accurate base line data • Adoption of Information Technology in the areas of energy accounting will be essential before taking up the regular distribution strengthening projects. • Programme Coverage:It is proposed to cover urban areas - towns and cities with population of more than 30,000 as per the 2001 Census. • Proposed Scheme:Projects under the scheme shall be taken up in Two Parts. • Part-A shall include the projects for establishment of baseline data and IT applications for energy accounting/auditing & IT based consumer service centres. • Part-B shall include distribution strengthening projects.

Restructured Accelerated Power Development and Reforms Programme (R-APDRP) Module wise / ESCOM’s Wise Status % progress taken SDO wise • *Only for 26 towns modems are installed and all 29 towns DTC meter DLMS meters installed. • ** 23 towns FS go-live ( Hubli-dharwad, Belgaum, Bijapur, Gadag, Bagalkot & Ranebennur pending). Only 19 towns DTC SIMs are activated, balance 4 towns DTC SIMs activation is under progress by RCOM. SIMs are communicating in 12 towns only i.e. also about 30% only & SIMs in balance 7 towns are not actually communicating. Out of 4852 only 701 no.s of modems are communicating. • CCC Operational across All ESCOMs
