  1. ABOUT AYURVEDA: The word Ayurveda originates from two Sanskrit words: “Ayur” and “Veda”. Where Ayur means life and Veda means the knowledge of science. Ayurveda is an ideal way of living life in consonance with the universe in order to attain optimal health. The major field of Ayurveda science is gaining more popularity and importance across the globe, thanks to its amazing therapeutic values. In ancient days, people used to live very close to nature and whenever they got indisposed they cured themselves by the materials and resources provided by mother nature, which is nothing but the herbs. It is strongly believed that these herbs are supposed to give a panacea for all kinds of diseases which were even considered impossible by other fields of medical science. Study of each herb in depth, along with its positive and ill effects are considered before designing the Ayurvedicherb medicines. Each herb has its own features and characteristics, thus used in specific diseases and its treatment. These herbal medicines are prepared from the herbs that have no ill-effects. Herbs play a major role in an Ayurvedic ecosystem. Even a small herb dissolves stones in the bladder in the twinkling of an eye.

  2. THE RELEVANCE OF AYURVEDA: People these days are plagued by enormous diseases. Advancement in medical science has led to the discovery of many treatments and therapies which to a large extent has alleviated human problems. Ayurveda is widely recognized as a process of natural health that cares for both women & men in different aspects of life, which if amalgamated have the ability to generate perfect health and a longer life. But the obvious question that arises is that how relevant or effective is this ancient system of health care to people of today when technological progression has drastically altered our lifestyles, our environment as well as our medicine? Ayurveda is the science of life which not just deals with cure of some diseases but has become a complete way of life.

  3. ABOUT CHITHRAKOOTA Various Ayurvedic centers like Chithrakoota are providing holistic treatment for combating mental as well as physical illnesses. This ancient form of treatment has not just been proven but also been accepted world-widely. Ayurveda makes use of herbs and promotes behavioral changes and intake of nutritious diet so that problems related to mind and body can be resolved and good health is enhanced. Moreover, Ayurveda emphasizes on healthy habits like proper ample amount of sleep, body massage, yoga, meditation, detoxification practices, regular physical exercises, a balanced diet, avoiding stress, anxiety or anger and maintaining healthy social and personal life. Though the application, as well as medical constitutions, use umpteen years old medicine system that is much different from that of modern medicines, it would be incorrect to say that modern science can liquidate all types of diseases while Ayurveda cannot be used treat major diseases like diabetes and cancer that have tormented mankind but can help in reducing the intensity.
