1. San Antonio Rainbow Room Wish List Many thanks for your interest in helping abused and neglected children through Dare to Love and the Rainbow Room. The Rainbow Room is an emergency resource center located in the Child Protective Services offices at 3635 S.E. Military Drive. Caseworkers pick up new items and quickly deliver them to needy children. A gift of something from the list below can make life better for a family. Donations should be new and are made to the Dare to Love Sponsorship Program, a nonprofit organization that assists children through their Child Protective Services caseworkers. Cash donations made to Dare to Love will buy supplies for the Rainbow Room or provide funds for more expensive needs like car seats, cribs, and funds for camp. • toddler clothing, male & female • sweat tops/pants sizes 2 thru adult • shirts/jeans sizes 2 thru adult • formula, diapers, especially newborn & sizes 4 & 5, baby wash, lotion, powder, shampoo, infant pajamas, infant onsies & shirts, baby wipes, bottles • laundry detergent, dish detergent • cleaning items: lysol, ammonia,etc., mops & buckets, brooms & dustpans • large garbage bags and sponges • towels, washcloths • blankets, sheets and pillowcases • sleeping bags for homeless children • adult shampoo, conditioner, soap, setting gel, makeup, cosmetics, deodorant • jackets: all sizes • school supplies and back packs • school uniforms, all sizes • shoes: all sizes (new only) • new briefs & panties, all sizes • bras: all sizes • instant cameras, batteries • gifts for teens • lice shampoo • combs, brushes, hair accessories • activity books, color books • educational toys for toddlers • ladies hygiene products Dare to Love Sponsorship Program The Dare to Love Sponsorship Program is another way to help. Organizations or individuals can work directly with a caseworker to help the children in that caseworker’s caseload over a longer period of time. Through sponsorship, volunteers can provide for special needs as they arise. Caseworkers might seek help to provide a baby bed, shoes, clothing, or supplies for a group party. Sponsors remember sponsored children on birthdays, Christmas, Easter, Hanukah or on special occasions. Cash Contributions Your cash donation helps us buy many things for the children.
