Why are we here? • To make a difference and to do our best for all patients • To contribute and have an active voice in the steering group and to be heard • To give a fair representation of patients’ views • To help GPs and the CCG understand what we feel is important in our healthcare provision • To consider the views of the other stakeholders – our GPs, CCG, NHS, Practice Managers • To feedback

Terms of Reference Copies of the Terms of Reference for the group are available to anyone who wants a copy. • The patient group has been established to ensure that patient views and experiences are at the forefront of decisions and proposals for Hucknall. It is an opportunity to formally discuss and debate proposals and raise issues with the steering group. • The Chair of the group is accountable to the group • Minutes will be made available to PPGs • Membership includes patients and patient representatives, NNE Stakeholder Engagement Manager, Michael Ellis, Steering Group Patient Representative and Chair, currently Kathryn Sanderson. • The group may also be attended by NNE CCG Executive Officers, NHS England Area Team members, Hucknall GPs and Hucknall Practice Managers • To be quorate the group requires a minimum of four patients covering two practice populations plus the Chair.

  4. How will it work? • Monthly meetings timed to feed into and back from the steering group • Anyone is welcome – the patient population of this group may change from month to month • This is not a decision making group • We will feed information to the steering group • The steering group will feed information to us • We will invite presentations from relevant bodies, authorities etc. when appropriate • We will gather information from a range of sources to inform our discussions • Members are welcome to work with me or other PPG representatives to bring ideas to the table.

  5. Communication • Website • Practice noticeboards • PPGs • Emails • Facebook • Meetings • Promotional material – libraries, local newspaper etc..

  6. Today We want feedback to take to the steering group next week. We have 3 questions to consider: • What is good about our current service? • What are our issues with the current service – what don’t we like? • In an ideal world what would we have?
