  3. Accomplishments • Drew Biblical scenes in which the landscapes held a certain importance • Chiaroscuro (art term for the contrast between light and dark) was the principal element of his style St. Sebastian 

  4. Qualities •  Painted for the Cathedral, many artworks remain in the Valencia Cathedral • Almost all of his paintings related to Saints and Christianity The Sacrifice of Isaac

  6. Conclusion • Pedro Orrente (1580-1645) was a talented Spanish painter with many accomplishments. His paintings are very detailed using the Chiaroscuro, the contrast between light and dark. He painted for the Valencia Cathedral and works like St. Stephen remains there. He was one of the painters in the Baroque Era.
