THE FAN POWER THE FAN POWER The  power  is  an  important  factor  to  consider  in  choosing  portable cooling fan.  In  almost  all  the  types  of  fans,  the  power  is  determined by the unit size and speed settings as well. In general,  higher speed settings of fan make it easier for you to control it and  also  make  it  capable  of  causing  cooler  temperatures.  A  bigger  fan  usually can cool larger area than smaller sized one. All ceiling fans  derive their power from the motor so you need to check its power and  size. OTHER IMPORTANT FEATURES OTHER IMPORTANT FEATURES In addition to the foregoing, other important features you need to look  out for include the following – ●Remote control – it allows easy turning on and off the cooling fan. ●Protective mesh/cage – important for the safety of pets and small  children. ●Timer  –  may  include  sleep  timer  and  it  allows  you  to  set  the  operating time after which it automatically stops running. ●Tilt action – allows the maneuvering of fan in different directions. ●Oscillating head – rotating head of cooling fan makes it capable of  cooling larger area.
