  2. Introduction • Birth place: Brentwood, Long Island • His name is James Todd Smith • He’s most famous for his music and acting skills. • Birth date : January 14th ,1968 at 8:46 PM . Why did I chose this person? I chose this person because he is one of the best rappers of all time. When he was born his left arm was paralyzed. His arm was paralyzed because his mother jumped out of a car going 30 miles per hour. He had a very abusive child hood. When he was 4 his dad got him a puppy. The puppy ‘s name was pup. A week later his pup died. The puppy fell threw a missing floor board in his porch. The leash got stuck then it past away

  3. Childhood When he was born his left arm was paralyzed. His arm was paralyzed because his mother jumped out of a car going 30 miles per hour. • He had a very abusive child hood. When he was a toddler he would never give up on anything. People thought he was very mean, because his step father gave him an influence on beating on people . So that’s when he started to take his anger on other people. When he was 4 his dad got him a puppy. The puppy ‘s name was pup. A week later his pup died. The puppy fell threw a missing floor board in his porch. The leash got stuck then it past away and choked to death. Years later he move to his grandparents place. They moved from his father’s house because he abused his mother. His father came to his grandparents and shot his mother and grandfather. His mother almost died. She got in her spinal column. She couldn’t walk for a long time. After her recovery she married a old friend from nursing school the man’s name was Roscoe. He was abused by roscoe for almost everything.

  4. Adolescence LL Cool J fell in love with hip hop at the age 9. after that he started to make his own lyrics. At 11 he began to write lyrics and making his own songs with his own DJ equipment At 15 his friend made up a name for him. It was LL Cool J (Ladies Love Cool James) At 16 a student from NYU (New York university) His name was Rick Rubin he tried to give him a record deal. His first song that went air was I need a beat on the radio. He went into Def Jam with the song “I need a beat” released in (1985) In (1986) he was in the movie called wild cats. In that movie he wrote the theme song

Adulthood He was happily married to Simone Smith . got married while pregnant with there first child. • First starting film was out-of-sync. • IN 1995 was in the sitcom “in the house” • In 2000 he won a block buster entertainment Award • He hosted the 28th Annual American music award in 2001 with Britney Spears

  7. Positive Contributions • He help pick up trash in the community he lived in. • He influenced people to listen to his music • He encouraged kids to go to college to get an education by telling them if you get an education you will get father in life.

  8. The Most Interesting Story in the Book! The most interesting story I learned was when LL Cool J went to a concert and came back to his hotel. When he entered the hotel a wrestler said something very races. He was with his father and his father got very offended. So his father yelled at the wrestler for saying something so mean. So the wrestler pushed his dad into the elevator and stated to punch him. Then LL cool j stated to kick him in his back. Then the wrestler started to chase him. The wrestler chased him up and down the hall. When his dad caught up he started to throw rocks at him then the wrestler started to bleed. But he wouldn’t go down, so that’s when he stated to throw bigger rocks at him. Before he could throw another rock a cop started to shoot the air . After the commotion the cops arrested the wrestler and his dad. After one day they bailed his father out of jail.
