  2. Action Verbs • Most verbs are action verbs. Some action verbs refer to physical action that can be seen by other people. • Others refer to mental action that cannot be seen. • Physical Action: The gardener feeds the ducks. • Mental Action: She likes the migrating birds best.

  3. Receivers Transitive Verbs • Some action Verbs have receivers Recovers are called Transitive Verbs. Ex The Pitcher swung the Ball. Ball is the receiver.

  4. Can You find the Transitive Verb? 1. Mr. Morton taught the class. 2. The center tipped the ball to the Racers! 3. The batter hit the ball.
