  1. Welcome!

  2. God, you are my Savior, so I’m praying to you now like I’ve been praying to you night and day. Please, listen to me. I’m really struggling. I can’t take it anymore. I feel like I might as well die because You aren’t taking any notice of me anymore. You have made my life like darkness. You must be angry with me because You are lashing out at me like the repeated lashing of the ocean waves. My friends don’t like me anymore and that is Your fault. I’ve cried so much over this I can hardly see. I’ve been praying to You for years and You haven’t done anything.

  3. Am I going to die? Will You do anything for me then? Will I be any good to You then? Every morning I’ve been praying to You and get nothing. Why have You thrown me away? I’m absolutely powerless and helpless. I’ve been like this since I was young because of your terrors. Your attacks have destroyed me. They are always against me. They are closing in on me. And You have taken away my friends.

  4. Praying Honestly

  5. We are allowed to feel.

  6. Eight core emotions. My heart is in anguish within me; the terrors of death have fallen upon me. Fear and trembling come upon me, and horror overwhelms me. Psalm 55:4-5 Malicious witnesses rise up; they ask me of things that I do not know. They repay me evil for good; my soul is bereft. But when they were sick– I wore sackcloth… But at my stumbling they rejoiced and gathered; They gathered together against me… Psalm 35:11-12, 15 Do I not hate those who hate you, O LORD? And do I not loathe those who rise up against you? I hate them with complete hatred; I count them my enemies. Psalm 139:21-22 LORD, why do you cast my soul away? Why do you hide your face from me? Psalm 88:14 Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me. Psalm 51:5 For when I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. Psalm 32:3 I am weary with my moaning; every night I flood my bed with tears; I drench my couch with my weeping. Psalm 6:6 Therefore my heart is glad, and my whole being rejoices Psalm 16:9 Gladness Sadness Hurt Loneliness Anger Fear Guilt Shame

  7. Faith is not easy.

  8. LORD, how many are my foes! Many are rising against me; many are saying of my soul, there is no salvation for him in God. But you, O LORD, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head. I cried aloud to the LORD, and he answered me from his holy hill. I lay down and slept; I woke again, for the LORD sustained me. I will not be afraid of many thousands of people who have set themselves against me all around. Arise, O LORD! Save me, O my God! For you strike all my enemies on the cheek; you break the teeth of the wicked. Salvation belongs to the LORD; your blessing be on your people. Address. Complaint. Trust. Deliverance. Assurance. Praise.

  9. God can handle it.

  10. O LORD, God of my salvation;I cry out day and night before you;incline your ear to my cry! Every day I call upon you, O LORD;I spread out my hands to you. But I, O LORD, cry to you;in the morning my prayer comes before you.
