Sex Ed moves to Grade 3 THE HAMILTON SPECTATOR (Apr 15, 2010) Ontario elementary schoolchildren will learn more detailed sex education in earlier grades under a new province-wide curriculum that begins this September….. Students will learn about some potentially controversial issues: Grade 3: sexual orientation and gender identity Grade 4: puberty and its physical and social changes. Grade 6: personal pleasure in masturbation, vaginal lubrication and wet dreams. Grade 7: sex acts such as oral sex and anal intercourse.

Bill 13 Strategies to Change the Norms and Values of Society 1) Student Club Activities - mandating GSA Clubs 2) Mandated Sexual-Lifestyle curriculum beginning in kindergarten 3) Rental Agreements - Imposing provincial Code of Conduct on religious organizations and churches renting publicly-funded school property (developed by OHRC)

Strategy 1 - Student Club Activities The Legislation: 303.1 (1) Every board shall support pupils who want to establish and lead activities and organizations that promote a safe and inclusive learning environment, the acceptance of and respect for others and the creation of a positive school climate, including, (a) activities or organizations that promote gender equity; (b) activities or organizations that promote anti-racism; (c) activities or organizations that promote the awareness and understanding of, and respect for, people with disabilities; or (d) activities or organizations that promote the awareness and understanding of, and respect for, people of all sexual orientations and gender identities, including organizations with the name gay-straight alliance or another name.

(1) Paragraph 29.1 of subsection 8 (1) of the Act is repealed and the following substituted: 29.1 require boards to develop and implement an equity and inclusive education policy, and, if required by the Minister, submit the policy to the Minister and implement changes to the policy as directed by the Minister;

Strategy 3:Rental Agreements The legislation states: Agreements with third parties regarding use of schools (3.1) If a board enters into an agreement with another person or entity, … respecting the use of a school … , the board shall include in the agreement a requirement that the person or entity follow standards that are consistent with the provincial code of conduct.
