  1. The Most Common AC Problems and Their Solutions

  2. Dirty Air Filter An air conditioner that is completely functioning and efficient can become slow and inefficient due to dirty or ineffective air filters. Dirty filters may result in a variety of issues, including less airflow, lower indoor air quality, and increased electricity usage. Additionally, if the coil freezes, it might cause your air conditioner to work harder or stop altogether. By routinely cleaning or replacing your air filter, you can easily prevent AC issues. As a general rule of thumb, aim to switch out flat filters every month and pleated filters every three months, or call Air Conditioning Service professional.

  3. Frozen Condenser Coils The coils in your air conditioner are essential parts because they let the heat from your house out into the open air. But ice can still accumulate on the coils even in the height of summer. The cooling process won't be as easily managed by frozen coils, and in some situations, the ice may even prevent the AC from operating at all. Turn off your air conditioner if it begins to freeze and wait for the ice to thaw. Changing the settings to "fan only" will hasten the procedure, which could take up to 24 hours. Without starting a refrigeration cycle, this will blast warm air across the coils.

  4. Refrigerant Leak Refrigerant is used by your air conditioning system to transmit heat. If it doesn't have enough refrigerant, you can notice that there is a lot of hot air coming out. Inadequate cold air, a Home seems humid, excessively long cooling cycles, Ice on the evaporator coils, Dribbling or hissing air conditioner noises, and, Sweet smell around the air conditioner are some of the signs that show there’s a leak. Call your local Air Conditioning Service right away for help.

  5. Thermostat Problems When and for how long to run, your air conditioning system is instructed by your thermostat. Your AC might not operate as it should if the settings are incorrect. A programmable thermostat won't be usable at all if the batteries fail. To make sure your thermostat is receiving power and operating properly, use this fast checklist: If the screen is blank, replace the batteries. Ensure that your thermostat is powered. Verify that the cooling mode is activated. Make sure the temperature you want is lower than the ambient temperature.
